Building a Predictable Growth Engine With Third-Party Leads
What began three years ago with PX as one of the several lead vendors has grown into a true extension of DaBella's marketing team. That shift, from vendor to partner, is what's allowed DaBella to keep scaling with confidence, while maintaining the visibility, flexibility, and lead quality the business needs.
About DaBella
DaBella is guided by a simple set of values: We Lead, We Care, We Grow.
Those values shape how the company works every day and have helped DaBella build a national footprint across 27 states and 68 locations, reaching more than 50 million homeowners nationwide with roofing, siding, windows, baths, walk-in-tubs, and solar.
That same sense of care also influences how DaBella approaches their partnerships. Over time, the relationship with PX has grown around trust, shared visibility, and a mutual commitment to creating a better experience for homeowners at every stage of the journey.
In their own words
Just the breadth, and the numbers of vendors that PX has, and that you're able to provide to me through the API, it just saves me so much time. It's kind of like when you go to Google and you do a search for something and you have the 10 blue links, and I have to search through every single link to find what I want. Or I can go to AI now and say what's the best coffee brand, and they'll tell me in 2 seconds, and I don't have to do all the research. PX is the same way. I can go to you and say, hey, I need 10,000 roofing leads here. They come, they convert, and they sell, and we all win.
Challenges
- Managing dozens of individual lead vendor relationships was time-consuming and pulled focus from other marketing activities
- Being reliant on a small number of vendors created the risk of unpredictability in lead volume. If one dropped off or slowed down, DaBella had no easy way to replace that volume
- Limited visibility into how leads performed after handoff made it hard to optimize lead sourcing or pricing
Goals
- Broaden access to numerous high-performing lead sources through PX, without becoming dependent on a small number of vendors
- Build real two-way data transparency with every partner, not just one-way reporting
- Maintain the flexibility to buy from the sources delivering strongest results, with no long-term lock-in to any single vendor
- Have enough lead volume to keep sales reps consistently busy, with the ability to scale volume up or down based on rep capacity
How PX operates DaBella's lead program
Predictable flow of lead volume to keep sales reps on the phone
DaBella keeps a steady, dependable flow of leads coming from over 100 active lead vendor partnerships and 3,758 sub-IDs, all built and nurtured on the PX platform.
This reduces the time the internal team needs to spend sourcing and managing individual vendors and hence the need to add additional headcount
Volume can be increased or reduced as the sales team's capacity changes, giving DaBella the flexibility to respond quickly while keeping its focus on serving homeowners and closing business.
Programmatic and hands-on campaign management
Behind the scenes, PX continuously reviews and adjusts campaign performance.
Through programmatic bidding and approximately 700 bid rules, investment is directed towards the sources, markets, and opportunities generating the strongest results.
That ongoing attention and shared focus on performance have helped the relationship evolve beyond traditional lead delivery. PX works alongside DaBella's team, closely involved in the day-to-day decisions that support sustainable growth.
Finding untapped potential in Rebound Leads
DaBella and PX expanded the lead programs by introducing rebound leads into the acquisition mix.
Rebound leads are homeowner inquiries that were generated earlier but may still represent active interest. Because home improvement decisions often have a longer consideration cycle, an older inquiry can still create a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with a homeowner when the timing is right.
Through PX's rebound leads programme, DaBella received more than 500,000 leads across five product lines over 13 months and counting.
A transparent and compliant consumer journey
DaBella and PX have built a lead journey designed to earn and maintain homeowner trust, with TCPA compliance incorporated from the first point of contact.
Disposition data is shared between both teams every day, creating a clear and consistent view of what is converting, what is not, and where improvements can be made.
That shared visibility allows decisions to be made together, with both teams working from the same information and staying accountable for the homeowner experience from beginning to end.
Two teams, one set of targets
The volume and quality targets belong to both teams. DaBella's marketing operations group and the PX team set them together, watch the same performance data day to day, and answer for the same result.
That shared footing is what makes the rest work. PX carries the vendor side, over 100 lead vendor partnerships and 3,758 sub-IDs, so DaBella's people can stay close to homeowners across 68 locations. When something slips, both sides see it in the same week and fix it together.
